Why I Started a Blog
I always thought it was creative when people wrote blogs.
I always thought it was creative when people wrote blogs. Sharing their favorite recipes, product recommendations, or honestly just sharing their every day life with those on the other side of the screen. I always enjoyed writing, but I knew that I would never amount to become a journalist, or even an author, I can’t sit long enough to even focus on writing a book. Trust me, just writing this blog post, I took a few breaks, and if you know me, this doesn’t surprise you.
As the years went by, and my friends and I started getting older and growing up, we also started to move. This meant different states, cities, and sometimes even time changes. In 2017 I decided to start a blog called “Life with Sara”, side note, this would also be the name of my reality TV show, if MTV or E! would ever give me one. But that’s a story for another day. I wanted a way for my friends to connect with me from a far. Yes, we had had FaceTime dates and texted throughout the day, but there is nothing worse then wanting to make your best friends famous cookie recipe at 6pm at night, knowing you couldn’t call her because its 12am in Indiana.
Thus, Life with Sara was born.
Along with sharing food recipes and my travels, I also wanted to share some of my work as a hairdresser. I have since opened my own salon Sara Lindsey Hair LLC, and have a website called saralindseyhair.com. While I’m lucky enough to have been doing hair for 11 years, I also have received a business degree. My senior year of college, I had to write a business plan for my Capstone class to graduate, which is how I came up with the name of my salon.
I had a local girl name Kylee create my logo, she also created the logo that I use for my salon business cards, social media pages, and entry door to my salon. She does amazing work, and I highly recommend her.`
