Lil Smokies Wrapped in Bacon

I'm not entirely sure what the correct name is for these, but what I do know is, you can't eat just one. My mother, God bless her soul, as been making these ever since I was a little girl. One year, I brought them over to my then boyfriends family Christmas, and they were truly a hit!

They are SO SIMPLE to make!! Plus they are always a hit at parties, or holiday get togethers! These little babies are quite possibly my number one go to dish to bring! Which is exactly why, I made them for New Years Eve 2018!

What you'll need:

  • 13x9 or 9x9 inch dish (depends on how many you need)

  • 2 packages of the Hillshire Farm Lil Smokies (only one package needed for the 9x9 inch dish)

  • 1-2 package of bacon

  • Dark brown sugar

Pre-heat your oven to 375 degrees. Open your package of bacon, and cut it into thirds.Take a piece of the cut bacon, and wrap it around the lil smokie, and then place in pan. Continue this until all the smokies are wrapped in the bacon. It's ok if they are packed tight and close together in the pan. Sprinkle brown sugar over the top, making sure all of the smokies are covered. Place it in the oven, for about 15 minutes, or until the bacon looks nice and crispy.

Normally I give credit where credit is due for most recipes, but about 95% of my recipes will be family recipes, and these smokies can be made a billion different ways. So therefore, I will just give credit to my sweet momma!
